To save the life of one child . . . and then another, by raising awareness about conditions that lead to sudden cardiac arrest and death.

We accomplish our mission by taking a DIRE approach.

Detection. We need to discover these conditions before they take our children. We screen our children’s eyes and ears in school, why don’t we screen their hearts?

Innovation. There is little focus and few resources dedicated to sudden cardiac arrest in children. By leveraging technology, we can promote research and empower communities.

Reaction. We need to be prepared when sudden cardiac arrest strikes. Survival rates improve dramatically when citizens know the chain of survival, which includes 911, CPR and an AED device.

Education. Sudden cardiac arrest is not just an adult thing. There are warning signs. We need to make sure that pediatricians, coaches, parents and students know them.
