Beliefs and Values
Simon’s Heart began because a boy named Simon died before his time, but every chapter of our story contains the names of families and children who have been impacted by heart conditions and/or sudden cardiac arrest.
A future in which parents and communities don’t lose children to detectable and treatable heart conditions.
To create and advance innovative, evidence-based programs, policies and research that prevent sudden cardiac arrest and death in children, teens and young adults.
Curiosity . . . about what causes, and what can prevent, sudden cardiac arrest and death in youth
Integrity . . . in the evidence and data that drives our programs and policies
Empathy . . . for families, educators, coaches, pediatricians and communities impacted by sudden cardiac arrest
Innovation . . . in programs that engage families and advance the science.
Collaboration . . . with medical professionals, industry leaders and policymakers.
