Washington – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Act was introduced by Senator Rosemary McAuliffe on January 13, 2015. Governor Jay Inslee signed the bill on April 17, 2015.
Vermont – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (H0100) was introduced by Representative George Till on January 20, 2017.
Utah – The Sudden Cardiac Prevention Act (SB0270) was introduced by Senator Stuart Adams and Representative Stephen Handy on February 28, 2017.
Tennessee – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (HB32)(SB985) was introduced by Representative Curry Todd and Senator Mark Norris on January 14, 2015. It was signed by Governor Bill Haslam on April 28, 2015.
Rhode Island – The Cardiac Arrest Prevention in School Sports Act (S0021) was introduced by Senator Walter Felag on January 18, 2017.
Pennsylvania – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act was introduced on June 16, 2011 by Representative Mike Vereb. It was signed into law by Governor Tom Corbett (Act 59) on May 30, 2012.
Oklahoma – The Chase Morris Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act was introduced on February 2, 2015 by Senator Ervin Yen (SB607). It was signed by Governor Mary Fallin on May 6, 2015.
New York – The Dominic Murray Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (A9897) was introduced on May 27, 2014 by Assemblyman Michael DenDekker. It was signed into law (A2388B) by Governor Kathy Hochul on October 25, 2021.
New Jersey – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (SB2367) was introduced on December 17, 2012 by Senator Richard Codey. It was signed into law by Governor Chris Christie on January 14, 2014.
Senator Brian Joyce reintroduced the SCA Prevention Act (SB 1157) on April 15, 2015.
Maryland – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness (HB427) Act was introduced on January 24, 2014 by Delegate Sheila Hixson. It was signed into law by the Governor on May 5.
The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (LD1051) was introduced by Representative Robert Duchesne on March 16, 2017.
Indiana – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (HB1290) was introduced on January 15, 2014 by Representative Ron Bacon. It was signed by Governor Pence on March 25, 2014.
HB1225 was introduced on January 31, 2013 by Representative Dan Burke. It was amended in the House and Senate thereby removing all of the core provisions of the bill. Governor Pat Quinn signed the law on August 12, 2013.
Georgia – The Jeremy Nelson and Nick Blakely Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act was introduced on February 6, 2019 by Senator P.K. Martin. It was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp (Act 136)) on May 2, 2019.

Delaware – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (Grace Firestone’s Law) was introduced on June 5, 2013 as SB205 by Senator Bethany Hall Long. It was signed by Governor Markell on August 25, 2014.
Connecticut – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (SB229) was introduced by Senator Martin Looney on February 21, 2014. Governor Dannel Malloy signed the bill into law on May 19, 2014.

Arkansas – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (HB1509) was introduced by Representative Greg Leding on February 3, 2017. Act 1013 was signed into law on April 4, 2017 by Governor Asa Hutchinson.
Ohio – The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act (SB 252) was introduced by Senator Cliff Hite on December 8, 2015. It was signed by Governor Kasich on December 14, 2016.
