What is the CPR Jukebox Marathon?
The CPR Jukebox Marathon is an overnight team challenge for high school students to do compressions on a ball and raise funds to prevent sudden cardiac arrest in children, teens and young adults. Teams of 16 will rotate through the compression station and participate in other games, competitions and special activities. It's music-filled, high-energy 12-hour all night long. Oh, and it could save a life.
When and where is the Marathon held?
The Marathon takes place at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex on November 21 from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. (2485 Seaport Drive, Chester, PA). This is the official training facility for the Philadelphia Union.
Do we perform CPR for 12 hours straight?
No way! Team members rotate throughout the night. Everyone gets plenty of breaks to participate in activities, eat, rest and hang.
Do I need CPR experience?
Not at all. You'll learn everything you need to know in a couple of minutes. All you need is some rhythm and a willingness to have fun.
How much does it cost to participate?
The registration fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt. If this is a hardship, please contact us - jukebox@simonsheart.org.
Can I register by myself?
Absolutely! Individuals are welcome. You can create a team, join an existing team or be matched with others.
Will food be provided?
All night long!
What should I wear/bring?
Comfortable clothes, your teammates and plenty of energy. We'll take care of the rest!
Do we have to fundraise?
Yes. Every participant is expected to raise $250 and teams are expected to raise $5,000. This is a goal, not a requirement. Every dollar will help us protect hearts and save lives.
Where does the money go?
The money supports Simon's Heart's whose mission is to prevent sudden cardiac arrest in children, teens and young adults.
