Kids Rock and Raise $570 for Sudden Cardiac Arrest

On May 7, about 20 kid rock bands from Ardmore, Conshohocken and Montgomeryville gathered to perform for their family and friends.  They showed off their talents as they played songs from the 60s, 70s, 80 and 90s.  All of these bands work out of the Music Training Center.

Every year the event, Kids Rock for Kids, raises money for a charity that serves kids.  This year, Simon’s Fund was the beneficiary.  Attendees donated money and generated $572.  With the typical cost of an ECG at $50, this means that 11 children will be able to receive an ECG exam, which is pretty significant considering that every 100 ECGs finds one kid with a potentially fatal heart defect.

Thanks to all of the kids and guests for helping us to save the life of one child . . . and then another, by raising awareness about the conditions that lead to sudden cardiac arrest and death.
